Testimony
Hi:
I am sorry your daughter went through that harrowing time in Kenya early this year. We all sought to seek the Lord fervently in prayer by relating that experience to Job’s plight. It was terribly frightening to the point that my faith, as a Christian, was tested to the core because I was ready to immigrate back to the States.
Personally, I questioned God about whether the story of Job in the Bible was a fake because no sooner I did that, there was a breakthrough in the peace negotiations that were staunchly supported by the United States...that''s when I got convinced and convicted that the Lord truly loves and cares about Kenya.
For me, this project is about being grateful for His mercies and making His grace known in my own "small" way and that truly He is what He says He is and sharing His goodness with the community is part and parcel of the Great Commission.
Thank you,
In Christ
David

David, my daughter was in Kenya at the time of the upheaval a few months ago. She was doing missionary work there with a group from Youth With A Mission. She was a few streets away from the fighting but got out safely.)
He told them this parable: " Look at the fig tree and all the trees. When they sprout leaves, you can see for yourselves and know that summer is near. Even so, when you see these things happening, you know that the kingdom of God is near."
